Angel in Action Dr. Mary Lynch

Lynn Welsh, former patient of the Pain Management Unit, wanted a special way to thank Dr. Mary Lynch for her exceptional care – the Angels in Action program was the perfect match.

Dr. Mary Lynch is the director of the Pain Management Unit, where she is responsible for the assessment and assistance to people living with chronic pain conditions. In her advocacy role for better pain care, Dr. Lynch researches new approaches to treat pain and provides education to current and future health care professionals. Angel in Action Dr Mary Lynch

Lynn truly feels that “Dr. Lynch gave me outstanding care and treatment after an accurate diagnosis from a car accident. The Pain Management Unit was available to me for several years, and I wanted to honour Dr. Lynch”.

Dr. Lynch received her Angel pin at a gathering in front of her peers. “I feel grateful to be honoured as an Angel in Action. However, I think the real angel is the wonderful woman who nominated me, Lynn Welsh, and her friend Ruth Hoddinott, who have both been fundraising for the Pain Management Unit so people living with pain may benefit,” expressed Dr. Lynch.
