Kenny Issard had much to celebrate on his last day of work before retirement, including being named an Angel in Action.
After 31 dedicated years of service as a utility worker in the Housekeeping Department, Kenny decided it was time to retire from a unit he describes as ultimate “germ fighters”. Surrounded by many co-workers and friends at his retirement party, it was obvious that Kenny was touched by his Angel pinning when he was told that the anonymous donor described him as “friendly, kind, caring and compassionate, and always dependable, reliable and considerate.”
Tracey Prescott, manager, Housekeeping Department, Halifax Infirmary, expressed that “Kenny has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to give a helping hand to others. He takes pride in his work and always gave 110%. On behalf of the Housekeeping Department, we would like to thank Kenny for his 31 years of service and wish him a long and happy retirement.”
