Created by the QEII Foundation, Angels in Action provides grateful patients and their families – and even peer-to-peer – an opportunity to recognize caregivers at the QEII Health Sciences Centre who make a real difference. Recognition comes in the form of a presentation of a lapel pin designating the recipient an Angel in Action .
Nominate your Angel in Action 
The process is simple: nominators complete a
form naming their angel at the QEII and providing a brief description of the reasons behind the nomination. The completed
nomination form, along with a donation to better health care at the QEII, are returned to the QEII Foundation who organize a surprise “pinning” for the recipient, and issue a tax receipt for the donor.

March 2012 Angels in Action
The entire staff at 6B Nephrology, Kidney/Liver Transplant can celebrate 
because they've all become Angels in Action.
The team was recognized by a patient's family member for, "the exceptional care we received while my husband was a patient. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for doing this life-saving surgery....Thank you to one and all for everything."
The donor designated their gift to the Multi Organ Transplant Program.
