In 2008-2009, the QEII Health Sciences Centre cared for approximately 58,263 emergency visits. There were a total of 48,960 day surgeries, 100,250 diagnostic imaging inpatient exams, and an average length of stay being 12.68 days. While these patients have varying medical difficulties, each individual is relying on the best possible treatment and outcome. That is why the QEII Foundation relies on Atlantic Canadians like you for help. All donations are put to use in the area of greatest need or in the area designated by the donor.
The QEII Health Sciences Centre is the largest health sciences centre in Atlantic Canada, drawing patients from all corners of the four Atlantic provinces. It provides the entire range of attention, from primary care to the most complex and costly procedures.
