Gift in your Will

A gift in your Will (bequest) is a straightforward way to support future health care at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. A bequest will not affect your cash flow today and you maintain complete control over all your assets during your lifetime.

Charitable bequests are considered a charitable donation and qualify for a tax credit that your executor may use to offset income taxes owing on your final tax return. With careful planning it may be possible to eliminate all income taxes payable on death. Our Future Planner: A Resource Booklet for you and your family will answer many of your questions.

To make it easier for you, we have provided the following sample wording for your Will.  When preparing a Will you should consult a lawyer to ensure your wishes are legally binding.
