One gift at a time and one pledge at a time add together to give the QEII Health Sciences Centre the financial strength to upgrade or replace equipment that is worn and has served its purpose.

Donations also make it possible to purchase state-of-the-art pieces as technology changes. Through generous donations, the QEII has been able to obtain some fundamental pieces of medical equipment - the number too vast to list here. Some of these include a CT Simulator Planning System, Stereotactic Core Biopsy Machine, Dialysis machines as well as the construction of a new state-of-the-art Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Valuable research and Endowed Research Chairs are also advanced through fundraising. Programs that promote all aspects of patient care and comfort receive the financial backing of many caring individuals, community groups and corporations.
