About the Beaton Brainer:

For five years, Joyce Beaton along with her family and friends, have organized this fundraiser as a memorial for her husband, Dr. Wayne Beaton, who passed away in 2005 from an extremely aggressive, but unfortunately all too common brain tumor. Over the years, the Beaton Brainer Golf Tournaments have raised $50,000 for the Brain Repair Centre - funds that truly make a difference for patients requiring treatment. 

Support from community initiatives is essential for the QEII to continue to provide excellent patient care, fund important research or purchase equipment enhancements. This extraordinary achievement would not have been possible without the generosity of participants, donors, volunteers and corporate sponsors who continue to demonstrate amazing community spirit for a very worthwhile cause.
