Patients at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, and their families, are receiving a little extra comfort thanks to the $68,625 raised during the 20th annual Go for Green golf tournament presented by Crothall Services Canada. In its 20 year history, Go for the Green has raised $1.33 million for health care!
Funds raised from this June event will be directed towards the Comfort and Care grant program offered by the QEII Foundation. This valuable grant program helps enhance care at the QEII by supporting projects that typically would not receive funding from the health centre's operating budget. The simple items funded by Comfort and Care, like blanket warmers and reclining chairs, can make a big difference in the lives of patients and their families.
This year's golf tournament, held at Oakfield Golf & Country Club, was enjoyed by over 35 teams. A sincere thank you in extended to all of the players, sponsors, volunteers, and committee members who helped make the event a success!
