Gillian MacMichael Endowed Bursary Fund
This endowment was created in 2001 by Stephen and Arlene Waymire to honour the life of Gillian MacMichael.
The purpose of the Gillian MacMichael Endowment Fund is to educate interdisciplinary health care professionals in Nova Scotia on palliative care. The fund awards annual bursaries, up to $1,000, for subsidizing tuition and associated fees for palliative care education. The endowment also provides funding to organizations in Nova Scotia to sponsor a lectureship on the issue of palliative care.
The deadline for bursary applications for 2010 has past. Thank you to all who applied. A call for applications for the lectureship series will take place late July. Be sure to check back for more details.
