The QEII Foundation is pleased to announce the 2008 recipients for a Gillian MacMichael Endowed Bursary:

Annual bursaries are awarded up to $1000. Since the inception of the fund in 2001, over $30,000 has been disbursed to recipients.

The purpose of the Gillian MacMichael Endowment Fund is to generate annual awards for interdisciplinary health care professionals pursuing studies in palliative care education. Interdisciplinary professionals can be defined as any member of the health care team such as nurses, physicians, social workers, pastoral care workers, dieticians, therapists, etc. This endowment was created in 2001 by Stephen and Arlene Waymire to honour the life of Gillian MacMichael.
