On Thursday, June 10th, 2010 the QEII Foundation’s Go for the Green Golf Tournament will celebrate 19 years as being one of the best charity golf tournaments in the Maritimes!

The tournament will once again take place at Oakfield Golf & Country Club. We are pleased to announce that Crothall Services Canada will be returning as our “Ace” Presenting Sponsor for the 14th consecutive year!

Proceeds from this year’s Go for the Green will go towards improving and expanding radiation services at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. As part of the provincial government’s $30 million radiation wait times guarantee project, the QEII Foundation has committed to raising $4 million to support the acquisition and upgrading of radiation treatment equipment.

The annual charity golf tournament, Go for the Green, is a one-day premier charity tournament and the leading fundraiser of its kind in the Maritime Provinces. This event consists of a full day with brunch, 18 holes of golf, an evening barbecue and wonderful prizes.

Since 1992, funds from the Go for the Green charity golf tournament purchased several critically needed pieces of equipment and assisted in the reshaping of the ICU unit at the QEII's VG site.
