Everyday the QEII Foundation hears stories from patients or family members about the exceptional care they receive at the hands of the nurses, physicians, staff and volunteers at the QEII.
Recently, the wife of a patient recovering from severe injuries made a donation to the QEII Foundation in honour of her angels - all staff in the Burns/Plastic Surgery and the Medical Surgery ICU units at the QEII for the compassionate care her husband has received for several months.

During two presentations, staff were truly honoured to receive their Angels ‘wings’.
To celebrate this recognition of commitment to patient care and teamwork, the QEII Foundation presented each unit with a certificate as a reminder to each staff member that the important function they perform every single day is noticed and deeply appreciated by grateful patients and their families. Congratulations to all.
