Mary Bonnar is the latest Angel in Action to receive her wings at a surprise pinning in early July.
Mary, an employee of Bayshore Home Health, is a personal support worker on the Acute Care Unit 6th floor in Abbie J. Lane. Working in the Unit two days a week, Mary assists patients with their daily living activities and is well known for going that “extra mile” in her work.
It may have been that “extra mile” of care and attention that motivated an anonymous donor to nominate Mary as an Angel. “Mary is such a loving and uplifting caregiver – she deserves to be recognized”.
Marie-Claire Arseneau, clinical practice leader, 6th floor, Abbie J. Lane, agrees with the donor - “Mary is a very warm, spiritual and caring individual who devotes her time to the patients under her care”.
