Wayne Gray is the latest Angel in Action to receive his wings at a surprise gathering of his co-workers in early June.
Wayne was nominated by an anonymous donor who felt that “Wayne is a wonderful employee of the QEII – always kind and friendly with his co-workers and the people he encounters every day.”
Wayne is no stranger to the QEII, having joined the Housekeeping Department in 1974. And amazingly, during his 35 years of service, he has never once called in sick or even been late for work! Carole Anne Casey, evening supervisor, Housekeeping Services, said that “Wayne sets a great example for his co-workers and he is a very loyal, dedicated employee.” 
When asked how it felt to be named an Angel in Action, Wayne summed it up nicely – “it feels just great to be recognized”.
