Community Support

At some point in your life, you will be touched by the QEII Health Sciences Centre. Care or treatment will be required for either you, a member of your family, a close friend, a co-worker, or a causal acquaintance. In some cases, an experience at the QEII is so powerful that it sparks the desire to give back and thus, a community initiative is born.

A community initiative is a third party fundraising activity held by an individual, group or organization in support of the QEII Foundation. These activities differ in size and scope but the common theme remains the same - the opportunity to connect with the community in support of the QEII. Often these activities are led by grateful patients who received exemplary care or by their enthusiastic family members. Together, these events raise tens of thousands of dollars each year.

Community initiatives are only as limited as our imagination. For more information on how you can start your own community initiatives, contact the Foundation at (902) 473-7932.
